In memoriam: Ted W. Wrubleski

Ted Wrubleski passed away at the age of 76 on February 4, 2025, at Vancouver General Hospital.

Born on March 24, 1948, in Wadena, Saskatchewan, Ted was known for his kind, generous and energetic spirit. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who mastered many skills, truly a jack of all trades.

Ted is survived by his wife Peg; children Darrell (Debb) and Danielle (Frank); grandchildren Hanlon, Bryson, Massimo, Siena, Samson and Julia; brothers Phil (Mary) and Tim (Brenda); sisters Juliette (Allan), Annette and Lucille; sisters-in-law Maryanne and Diane; and brother-in-law Emile. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews and was cherished by Peg’s family as well. Ted was preceded in death by his parents May and Edmund; brothers Martin and Bob; brother-in-law Allan; and sister Sylvia.

Professionally, Ted dedicated many years to his craft as an electrician, a career that showcased his meticulous attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Beyond his professional life, Ted was deeply involved in his community. He volunteered for the Townsite Ratepayers Association, and the Powell River ATV Club, and served as a volunteer firefighter for the Cranberry Hall, retiring as volunteer chief. His commitment to service defined much of his life and brought joy to those around him.

A memorial service to celebrate Ted’s life will be held in the spring, with the date to be announced. Ted’s life was marked by his dedication to his family, his career and his community, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.
