Born on February 22, 1946, in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England. Passed away on June 13, 2023, in Powell River, at the age of 77.
Peter was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven after a valiant battle with mesothelioma cancer. He was predeceased by daughters Monique and Kellie, and parents Thomas and Eveline Marriott.
Left to cherish his memory are devoted wife of 57 years Josée, brother Paul (Gillian), sister Eileen, daughter Tania (Peter), son Ivan (Robbi), grandchildren Arron (Nikki), Jeremy (Carina), Bekah (Cameron), James (Quinn), Tyson (Ksenia), Jordan (Lukas), Chase, Felicity (Morgan), Judah, Vaughn, Keziah, Evan and Chloe, eight great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Peter and Josée met on January 18, 1964, in Hastings, Sussex, and immigrated to Canada on March 31, 1970, settling in Winnipeg. Five years later, they moved to BC, and spent the last 17 years in Powell River.
Peter dedicated his young life to raising his family, and spent many of his later years furthering the Kingdom of God on the mission field in Papua New Guinea, Thailand, Borneo, Kalimantan and the Ukraine, as well as in ministry in their local churches. He was very fortunate to have such varied and rewarding experiences with Josée and sometimes the whole family throughout the course of his life. He is at peace now without pain or suffering.
