It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Clifford Albert Frank Weiers on December 30, 2024, at the age of 88.

Cliff is survived by his wife Waltraud (Trudy) Weiers; his children Gilbert Weiers, Claudia (James) and Pamela Duchesne (Marc); his grandchildren Amber Hofer (Matt), John Weiers (Katelyn), Jonah, Hannah and Ava; and his great-grandchildren Corbin, Caelyn, Ryan and Elias. He is also survived by his extended family, including his sister Betty Mazure (Don); his brothers Don Weiers (Anita), Robert Weiers (Linda) and Dan Weiers (Carol); along with many beloved nephews, nieces and cousins.

Born and raised in Barthel, Saskatchewan, Cliff joined the Royal Canadian Air Force, where he trained as a radio technician. While stationed in France, he met and married Trudy in 1963. The couple returned to Canada in 1966. After leaving the military, Cliff moved his family to Teslin, Yukon, where he worked for Northwestel in telecommunications as a radio and microwave technician. He also served as a justice of the peace and as a coroner during his time in the Yukon.

Cliff was an avid outdoorsman, fisherman and hunter. In 1995, Cliff and Trudy retired to Powell River, British Columbia, where Cliff purchased a boat to pursue his passion for fishing. He also enjoyed gardening, woodworking and tinkering.

Cliff was loved by many and will be greatly missed. In accordance with his wishes, there will be no funeral service or memorial.
