Due to adverse weather cancellations on Route 17 (Comox - Powell River) in the evening of Wednesday, December 27, BC Ferries has been unable to fully crew Island Discovery for the sailings tomorrow morning (Thursday, December 28) between Blubber Bay (Texada) and Westview (Powell River) terminals.
As a result, the following Island Discovery sailings have been cancelled for December 28:
6:00 am departing Blubber Bay
6:50 am departing Westview
A 12-person, foot-passenger-only water taxi has been sourced and will begin with a 6 am departure from the Van Anda dock on Texada Island. Other sailings on this route are expected to proceed as scheduled, starting with the 9:20 am departure from Blubber Bay.
