AFTER THE STORM: The Sunshine Coast, including Earls Cove [above] experienced rain, wind and sun, here and there, over the weekend. The next week will see more sun and temperatures in the mid-20s.

The wind has been blowing in cooler temperatures into the qathet region this past week, conjuring up the feeling that fall is right around the corner.

However, according to Weatherhood, daytime temperatures will begin to warm up beginning on Thursday, August, 29. Currently (Tuesday, August 27), the temperature is 15 degrees Celsius and will dip to 11 degrees overnight. The wind is blowing 18.5 kilometres an hour, with little chance of rain today.

Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1, the warm weather will be back, with temperatures rising to at least 24 degrees with no rain in the forecast.

Sunshine Music Festival takes place at Palm Beach Regional Park, this Labour Day weekend. Local musicians The Kitchen Sink and C.J. Beauchamp will take the stage on Saturday, August 31.
