Rain in the forecast for qathet, but sun shines again on Friday

WEATHER FORECAST: The Weatherhood forecast for Wednesday, June 26, predicts 5 to 7 milimmetres of rain for today and tomorrow, Thursday, June 27, 2024. Rain started to fall heavily around noon today and will continue into the evening. The photo (above) was taken on Millenium Trails.

According to the Weatherhood station located above the Peak office (4493F Marine Avenue, Powell River) temperatures will be a high of 17 degrees Celsius today, Wednesday, June 26, and 15 degrees on Thursday, June 27. The qathet region will see up to 7 millimetres of rain today and tomorrow.

The sun will be back on Friday, June 28, with a high temperature of 20 degrees in the daytime, dropping to 13 degrees at night.

According to the Weatherhood weekend forecast, there is over a 50 per cent chance of rain for Saturday and Sunday, with a temperature high of 20 degrees.

The City of Powell River is once again hosting Thursday Night Markets, starting tomorrow, Thursday, June 27, at the Willingdon Beach walkway, across from the Chopping Block on Willingdon Avenue. The market is from 6 to 9 pm. Coinciding with the market is Music in the Park, scheduled for the last Thursday in June, July and August.
