Community heart
Recently, volunteers with the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC and Yukon walked door-to-door throughout Powell River. They raised over $12,300 which will be used for vital heart and stroke research.
Continuing support of the foundation allows health promotion and advocacy to help Canadians live longer, healthier lives.

Candidates debate
Powell River Chamber of Commerce will host the West Vancouver-Sunshine Coast-Sea to Sky Country all-candidates meeting for the May 2 federal election on Tuesday, April 26 at Max Cameron Theatre. The event will give the community a chance to hear from and ask questions of the candidates. Candidates from all parties have been invited to this free event that will run from 7 to 9 pm.
