At the qathet Regional District committee of the whole meeting on April 24, directors voted to postpone a motion that the committee recommend the regional board support offering a director appointment to qathet Museum and Archives board to serve in an ex-officio, non-voting capacity.
Chief administrative officer Al Radke said the board should postpone the motion because it hadn’t been officially asked by the museum board to participate in their organization.
“We should honour and respect that board to come up with a decision and either invite us in, or decline the offer we have extended at a past meeting,” added Radke.
The committee voted to postpone until the May committee of the whole meeting.
