qRD directors unanimously carry cemetery regulation amendment

qathet Regional District's cemetery regulation amendment bylaw was carried unanimously by directors at a meeting on January 29.

The bylaw, which came into effect January 30, spells out fees and charges for Powell River Regional Cemetery in Cranberry and Woodland (Texada Island) Cemetery.

The regional district increases its cemetery fees annually to reflect operating cost increases and to reduce reliance on taxation for interment-related services.
