qathet Regional District directors have amended the contribution agreement with qathet Museum and Archives to allow for a capital expenditure.
At the September 25 regional board meeting, directors approved a recommendation that the regional district may share in the cost of approved capital expenditures directly related to delivery of museum services, but will not be required to contribute to capital improvements or renovations of any of the museum’s premises. The board approved that the museum allocate up to $175,000 of the cumulative surplus toward purchase and installation of a shelving system.
The board also amended the service contribution agreement to provide 50 per cent of the annual contribution on January 1, with the balance to be paid by August 1 of each year. The museum shall also provide, on or before June 30 of each year, its annual financial statements.
