qathet Regional District's fees and charges bylaw has been updated, which was on the agenda at the November 27 qRD board meeting. Changes include Texada Island Airport fees and charges for applicable hangars, beginning on January 1, 2025. Additionally, the board has updated the processing agricultural land reserve exclusion service fees.
A staff report indicated for the latter changes, a significant amount of staff resources were expended processing the agricultural land reserve exclusion for Texada Island Non-profit Seniors Housing Society.
Staff recommended a $3,000 fee for processing agricultural land reserve exclusion applications.
