Correspondence will be written to Lift Community Services indicating the qathet Regional District (qRD) board would be willing to appoint someone to a homelessness task force.
Tla’amin Nation and City of Powell River will be copied with the correspondence to Lift. In correspondence to the regional district, Lift indicated it would like qRD and the city, with Lift, to convene a homelessness task force that would bring together nonprofit and government agencies with expertise and resources that can support a collective response to the community impacts of homelessness.
