qathet Regional District's (qRD) board has accepted the Savary Island slope hazard study final report prepared by Tetra Tech Canada. A staff report indicated the study provides an important background for the coming official community plan review and update process.
Spatial data map files for the recommended setback and clearance areas have been provided by Tetra Tech and will be uploaded to the regional district’s GIS system, enabling qRD staff to overlay the data with other map data to support landscape analysis and mapping.
The project was completed for $4,500 less than the budgeted amount of $25,000.
