At meeting on October 23, qathet Regional District's board approved a Rotary Club of Powell River donation of an outdoor musical playground instrument at Palm Beach Regional Park.
According to a staff report, the instrument would be donated by Rotary with no charge to qRD; however, regional district crew would be expected to do the installation, and long-term replacement costs and maintenance would be the responsibility of qRD.
Staff believe this donated piece would make a great addition and provide activity to children who may not be interested in the traditional playground pieces, the report stated.
