At approximately 5:56 pm on March 23, Powell River RCMP received a report that a resident in the 3000 block of Padgett Road was in possession of a firearm without a valid firearms licence.
Upon investigation, police attended the residence and located firearms and ammunition.
The weapons were seized by police and the male is facing charges under the Firearms Act including: unauthorized possession of a firearm and careless storage of a firearm.
