At 2:22 pm on May 20, Powell River RCMP responded to a hit and run on Highway 101 (north) near Sliammon Road.
A witness reported that a black truck with a canopy hit a school bus sign on the highway and fled the scene.
Police are seeking information from anyone who may have dash cam footage or information about the driver and vehicle. Damage to the black pickup would be to the passenger side mirror area.
