At approximately 6:17 pm on December 5, Powell River RCMP received a report of a vehicle that had been stolen from the driveway of a residence in the 6900 block of Retaskit Court.
The vehicle had been seen in the driveway around 4:15 pm and then was gone at 4:30 pm. On December 6, at approximately 9:20 am, the vehicle was discovered and then recovered from a neighbour’s yard.
The vehicle had not been stolen, but had a mechanical issue and travelled from the driveway, through a retaining wall and came to rest against an outdoor patio set in the neighbour’s yard. No injuries were sustained.
