Powell River RCMP make stolen property arrest

At approximately 5 am on March 11, police received a report of a theft from a motor vehicle that had been parked in the McDonalds parking lot on Joyce Avenue. Several tools and personal items had been taken from the vehicle.

Police conducted patrols in the area and observed a suspect carrying some items that matched the description of those taken from the vehicle. The suspect was detained and police confirmed the items belonged to the vehicle owner.

The suspect was arrested for possession of stolen property and released to appear in provincial court. Police conducted a search of the woods nearby and several more items that had been stolen from the vehicle were located and returned to the owner.
