On August 26, a complainant attended the Powell River RCMP detachment to report that she saw a male riding her stolen bike, a full-suspension Norco Fluid, on Barnet Street.
Police conducted patrols and located a prolific offender riding the described bike. The male was arrested and searched.
Upon search, a taser stun device and an amount of suspected methamphetamine was located on his person and seized by police. The bike was checked by police, and although similar, was not the complainant’s bike.
Police will be forwarding weapons and drug charges to crown counsel.
