Powell River Community Forest’s fall grants were awarded at the November 7 City of Powell River Council meeting, with recipients in attendance providing testimonial about what the grants mean to their respective organizations. In the fall grants allocation, there were 12 recipients, amounting to $412,015.98.
Over the life of Powell River Community Forest, the total amount of money that has gone toward community projects is $31 million.
The new allocation was approved at the October 24 city council meeting, when the 12 organizations receiving the awards were identified.
