Powell River RCMP reported the following for October 14 to 20, 2021.

October 17; Cranberry Street
At approximately 1:47 pm, police responded to a mischief report at a public washroom located at Lindsay Park. Upon arrival, police observed that someone had entered the washroom and smashed the urinal, sink and toilet beyond repair. A towel dispenser was ripped off the wall and ketchup and mustard were sprayed all over the wall. The damage to the washroom is believed to be well in excess of $1,000.
October 17; Manson Avenue, 5000 block
At approximately 10:50 am, police responded to a report of a theft from a vehicle. Sometime during the previous night, someone stole a yellow Dewalt 12-inch mitre saw from the back of a pickup truck. The saw is valued at approximately $500.
October 13; Highway 101, south
At approximately 11:20 am, police responded to a report of found property, approximately two miles past the bridge on Stillwater Main. An outboard motor had been located on the side of the road and picked up by a member of the public. The motor appeared to have fallen off a boat while it was being driven down the road, as there was some damage to it, but appeared to be in otherwise good working condition. If anyone is missing an outboard motor and can provide the make, model and serial number, the motor can be claimed at the Powell River RCMP detachment (604.485.6255).
