March 26; Glacier Street
At approximately 2:09 pm, police responded to a report of a collision on Glacier Street at Joyce Avenue. After speaking to witnesses, it was determined that a vehicle swerved onto a curb and rear-ended another vehicle, which caused that vehicle to rear-end a transit bus. Although there was significant damage to the vehicles, there were no serious injuries. After speaking to the driver of the first vehicle, police detected signs of impairment. As a result, police conducted a standardized field sobriety test and the driver was issued a 24-hour driving prohibition under the Motor Vehicle Act.
March 26; Harvie Avenue
At approximately 8:30 am, police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 4700 block of Harvie Avenue. Sometime between 8 pm on March 25 and 8:30 am on March 26, a Dodge Caravan was stolen from a residence. On March 29, police recovered the stolen vehicle after a community member reported it. The vehicle was seized and a forensic examination was conducted on it. This incident is still under investigation.
March 29; Padgett Road
At approximately 10:11 am, police received a mischief report regarding Padgett Road. Sometime between midnight and 5 am on March 28, someone deliberately damaged parking signs and address markers on McLeod and Padgett roads.
