Powell River RCMP reported the following for February 6 to February 12, 2020.

February 9; Joyce Avenue, 4400 block
At approximately 2:31 am, police responded to a report of a possible impaired driver. The driver of the vehicle was believed to be a 30-year-old female. Police located the vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Joyce Avenue and stopped it at the intersection of Joyce and Duncan. Breath samples were obtained from the driver that registered “fail” on the approved screening devices. The female was issued a 90-day driving prohibition and the vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
February 10; Tla’ amin Court, 6700 block
At approximately 11:45 am, police responded to a report of a theft. It is believed that on January 31, approximately $1,000 worth of tools were stolen from a worksite at that location. The tools included an air gun, two Dewalt drills, a Bluetooth speaker and air hoses.
