BC Ferries has announced that the first two round trips between Blubber Bay and Westview terminals on April 8 will not sail due to a difficulty with Island Discovery's main engine and adverse weather conditions. The following sailings will not be running:
9:20 am departing Blubber Bay (Texada Island)
10:20 am departing Westview (Powell River)
11:25 am departing Blubber Bay (Texada Island)
12:15 pm departing Westview (Powell River)
Previously cancelled sailings:
7:50 am departing Blubber Bay (Texada Island)
8:35 am departing Westview (Powell River)
BC Ferries is working to resolve the issue and will keep customers informed as more information becomes available, according to a statement.
