High winds, sun and cloud today in qathet region

Long weekend may see rain in the forecast

This weekend is a long weekend for many and in British Columbia, Good Friday, April 18, is a statutory holiday. Some folks will be seeing family, friends and sharing food, and possibly indulging in chocolate and an Easter egg hunt.

The Weatherhood app is indicating high winds of up to 18 kilometres today in the qathet region. The daytime temperature forecast for Tuesday, April 15, is a high of 11 degrees Celsius, dropping to five degrees overnight.

Wednesday, April 16, the winds will calm down and by 6 pm the temperature is predicted to be 14 degrees. Thursday, April 17, the temperature will hit 16 degrees by the evening, and Friday, April 18, will be similar.

There is no rain in the forecast for the next few days, however, by Saturday and Sunday there is an over 50 per cent chance of rain.
