Fridays for Future, inspired by climate action activist Greta Thunberg, meets at 10 am every Friday, and the event has been listed on the international website’s map of actions.
Darwin said she has participated in similar events in the lower Sunshine Coast, and attended Thunberg’s visit to Vancouver’s for a climate strike day a year ago.
Darwin is one of three candidates in the Powell River-Sunshine Coast riding. Nicholas Simons (BC NDP) and Sandra Stoddart-Hansen (BC Liberals) are also seeking the seat in the BC Legislature.
