BC Ferries’ Salish Eagle resumed sailings with the 3:25 pm departure from Little River Terminal in Comox to Westview Terminal in Powell River on November 24. The first two sailings of the day, along with sailings from Texada Island, were cancelled due to high wind conditions.
According to a media release from BC Ferries, the safety of passengers and crew is of primary importance.
“We don’t take the decision to cancel sailings lightly, as we know customers rely on us to get to their destinations,” the release stated. “We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience experienced as a result of earlier cancellations.
“Our goal is to inform our customers as early as possible of any changes to our scheduled sailings. We recommend that for the most up-to-date sailing and departure information, our customers also follow @BCFerries on Twitter, visit our current conditions webpage at bcferries.com, or call us toll free at 1.888.223.3779.
