1. October 8
Manson Avenue at Cranberry Street
Powell River RCMP were called to investigate a collision where the culprit failed to stop. Through the help of a good Samaritan who witnessed the incident, RCMP were able to locate the driver. As a result the driver was issued with a ticket for failing to remain at the scene of an accident.
2. October 10
4400 block Marine Avenue
Powell River RCMP were called to a local establishment and upon arrival found that an employee had been cut by a broken bottle from a physical altercation that originated from an earlier argument. The injuries were minor in nature and information is still being collected to determine the sequence of events.
3. October 13
4800 block Marine Avenue
Powell River RCMP conducted a vehicle stop of a black BMW travelling past Willingdon Beach Campsite. The driver demonstrated signs of impairment and due to prior offences will be facing the charge of impaired driving. The driver was also issued with a 24-hour driving suspension and the vehicle was impounded for 24 hours.
