1. March 14

Daisy Road near Padgett Road

Police and ambulance were called to a single motorcycle collision. The 33-year-old male driver had lost control of his unlicensed dirt bike and hit the base of a telephone pole. The 17-year-old female passenger, also from Powell River, was taken to hospital for treatment of injuries to her back. Charges are pending.

2. March 16

3700 block Gordon Avenue

Police received a complaint that sometime overnight persons unknown had forced entry to the rear of a parked vehicle. Once inside culprits pried the faceplate off the Sony Xplod stereo causing further damage. There are no suspects at this time.

4500 block Harvie Avenue

Police were called to a report of an intoxicated male yelling in the driveway of a residence. A patrol was made and a 40-year-old male from Powell River was located standing in the middle of the road. The male was noted to be very intoxicated. He was arrested and lodged in cells until sober.

4. March 17

7800 block Highway 101

Police received a report from a homeowner returning after having been away for several days. Persons unknown had forced open a garage door causing considerable damage. Nothing was readily noted to be missing. There are no suspects or witnesses to this incident at this time.
