Okeover Harbour
Police responded to a report of a boat theft. At approximately 3:30 am, a lone male pulled up to the dock on a dirt bike, and stole a 22-foot welded aluminum Kingfisher boat with a 1987 Yamaha 150 HP outboard. The boat is valued at over $16,000. July 4
Highway 101 north
Police responded to a collision approximately one kilometre south of Lund. The driver of a vehicle swerved to miss a deer before losing control of the vehicle and ultimately skidding to a stop across the highway. Neither the driver nor passengers in the vehicle were injured as a result of the collision.
July 7
Cranberry Street
Police stopped a vehicle after recognizing the driver as being prohibited from driving. After speaking to the 19-year-old male driver, it was determined that he had consumed alcohol. He provided breath samples which were over the legal limit and has been charged with impaired driving. He will appear in court in September 2013.
