A development variance permit for Life Cycle Housing Society’s Cranberry Place rental housing project has been postponed again.
According to an information note from staff at the City of Powell River Council meeting on October 6, Life Cycle has conducted on-site engineering investigations and will be working with city engineering staff over the next month to explore options. Until completion of those discussions, the applicant requests council defer consideration of the application.
The city has stipulated that it wants a sidewalk constructed in front of the Cranberry Street complex, and Life Cycle needed time to conduct engineering studies.
City of Powell River councillors also deferred a motion regarding the permit at the September 22 city council meeting.
