Powell River and District Teachers’ Association is hosting a Powell River Board of Education/School District 47 school board trustee candidates community forum at Max Cameron Theatre on October 6, from 7 to 9 pm.
Topics to be discussed include strategic planning, financial decisions and community leadership.
There are six candidates running for the five board of education positions, to be voted on in the October 15 municipal election. The candidates are Rob Hill, Dale Lawson, Maureen Mason, Jaclyn Miller, Scott Randolph and Kirsten Van’t Schip.
