qathet Regional District Electoral Area C director Clay Brander will run for the seat unopposed in the October 15 local government election.
As of Friday, September 9, qathet Regional District’s Elections 2022 listed Brander and Cody Hughes as candidates for the Electoral Area C seat. The website has since shown that Hughes has withdrawn from the race, with the result that Brander will be acclaimed.
This will be the second term on the qathet Regional District board for Brander. During his first term, he served as chair of the regional district’s planning committee.
