Conductor and music director of the Powell River Academy of Music Walter Martella played piano with Martella and Friends on Thursday, July 27. They were the first act for the Willingdon Beach summer series, Music in the Park.
Walter Martella and Friends played music and sang some familiar tunes from jazz greats such as the recently passed Tony Bennett at the Rotary Pavilion, coinciding with Thursday Night Markets.
The next musical group playing at the pavilion stage will be Dawson Jaxn and Renelle on August 10. The series is a City of Powell River event happening on the last Thursday of each month during the summer.
