At the request of BC Conservation Officer Service and Powell River RCMP, the trail network from Wildwood Bridge (Switchback Trail) to Gibsons Beach north of Wildwood has been closed due to aggressive bear concerns.
Trails will reopen as soon as possible on recommendations of the Conservation Officer Service, according to a media release from City of Powell River.
The city will post updates regarding any new developments on its social media channels.
