BC Ferries has announced the cancellation of two round trips between Little River (Comox) and Westview (Powell River) terminals for Wednesday, December 25, due to a severe weather forecast predicting high winds and wave height in the Strait of Georgia.

The following sailings are cancelled:
9:55 am departing Little River
11:50 am departing Powell River
3:25 pm departing Little River
5:15 pm departing Powell River

The following sailings are at risk of cancellation:
7:10 pm departing Little River
8:45 pm departing Powell River

"We are monitoring the weather conditions with the goal of getting you underway as soon as it’s safe to do so," stated BC Ferries. "If conditions do not improve, additional sailings may need to be cancelled and we will let you know if that happens."

Anyone with a booking on one of these cancelled sailings will hear from BC Ferries' Customer Service Centre regarding alternate sailings, or if a booking must be cancelled. In the case of a cancellation, BC Ferries will refund fees and/or fares.
