BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) reported zero COVID-19 cases in the Powell River local health area from June 20 to 26, the second consecutive reporting period with no cases after the same result was reported for June 13 to 19.
One case was reported in the qathet area from June 6 to 12.
The cumulative total for the local health area from January 2020 through May 2021 is 94, according to BCCDC.
As of June 28, more than four in five adults in the Powell River health area aged 50 and over (84 per cent) had received their first vaccine shot, along with almost three in four of those over the age of 18 (74 per cent).
