BC Ferries has announced that the afternoon round trip between Little River and Westview terminals on Thursday, April 20, will not sail due to expected adverse weather conditions. The following Salish Orca sailings will not be running:
3:25 pm departing Little River (Comox)
5:15 pm departing Westview (Powell River)
"We are closely monitoring the weather and should conditions not improve, additional sailings are at risk of cancellation or delay," stated BC Ferries. "Our Customer Service Centre will contact customers with bookings on these cancelled sailings to let them know if we have space available to fit them on an alternate sailing later in the day, or if their booking must be cancelled. In the case of a cancellation, we will refund fees and/or fares.
"The safety of our passengers and crew is of primary importance to us. We apologize for any inconvenience as a result of these cancellations."
