Inaugural flights between Comox and Kelowna will begin this summer, according to a media release from Comox Valley Airport.

“Our residents love to travel and an Okanagan connection has been in high demand," stated Mike Atkins, CEO, Comox Valley Airport Commission. "With quick and convenient service six days a week, we’re eager to show off the nature and culture of the Comox Valley and be the perfect gateway to Vancouver Island for travellers from BC’s Interior."

Operating from Sunday to Friday, the Pacific Coastal Airlines service will begin on June 25, with one hour and 10 minute flights departing Kelowna (YLW) at 8:45 am and leaving Comox (YQQ) at 10:20 am.

For qathet region residents wanting to make a connection, the first BC Ferries sailing from Westview Terminal (Powell River) to Little River (Comox) departs at 8:05 am daily and arrives at 9:35 am. The final sailing each evening leaves Westview at 8:45 pm and arrives at Little River 90 minutes later.
