BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) reported 109 COVID-19 cases in the Powell River local health area from January 9 to 15.
A total of 67 coronavirus cases were reported in the area from January 2 to 8.
From December 26 to January 1, 58 cases were reported, which followed a report of 18 cases from December 19 to 25.
Two cases were reported in the qathet region from December 12 to 18, following nine from December 5 to 11, and six from November 28 to December 4.
No COVID-19 cases were reported in the region from November 21 to 27.
The cumulative total of positive COVID-19 cases for the qathet region/Powell River local health area from January 2020 through December 2021 is 211, according to BCCDC. Another 175-plus cases have been reported so far in January.
