A small gathering was held at Veteran’s Memorial Park in Powell River at 11 am on November 11 to recognize Remembrance Day.
Residents were asked to stay away this year due to COVID-19 restrictions at public events.
A fraction of the usual attendees were on hand for the ceremony, which was by invite only.
A special block has been placed on the cenotaph, as in past years, for people to deposit a poppy after the ceremony as a remembrance of those who have served our country and community.
