At its meeting on November 22, qathet Regional District's (qRD) board members voted to approve the following grants:
The regional board approved a grant of $3,000 to qathet Art for the 2023 fibrespace program.
There was a further $509 approved for the Powell River Community First Aid Team for general operating costs. A grant-in-aid of $6,500 was provided for the Four Tides Hospice Society for general operating expenses.
Powell River Child, Youth and Family Services Society was granted $12,300 for the Orca Bus program. Lasqueti Community Association received $925 for the food bank program. Finally, the board approved $2,000 to qathet Film Society for the 2024 qathet International Film Festival.
