Powell River Community Foundation held its annual AGM and grant recipient presentations in-person at Cranberry Seniors Centre on November 8. Last year the presentations were held virtually.
Nearly $32,000 in grant money was awarded to various community groups. A representative from each recipient spoke about their organization and how the grant will be a benefit.
Grants were handed out to the following organizations: Salvation ArmyPowell River; Senior Citizens Association of BC Branch 47; Townsite Jazz Festival Society; Texada Nonprofit Seniors Housing Society; Powell River Film Society; Powell River Therapeutic Riding Association; Malaspina Art Society/qathet Art; PRISMA; Shirley Court Scholarship
