At a missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, men and two-spirited people gathering at Willingdon Beach on Monday, February 14, a large group of participants, mostly wearing red, lit candles and heard from speakers such as Maggy Gisle, who is sharing her thoughts and experiences at the microphone [above].
The day featured walks from Townsite and the sea walk parking lot to Willingdon Beach and coincided with the women’s memorial march held in Vancouver the same day.
