It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Vincent Tanti. He was predeceased by his beloved mother, Emmanuela; father Carmelo; brothers Joe, Frank and Reno; and sister Stella. Survived and deeply missed by his daughters Marianne and Monica; grandchildren Jocelyne, Rachel, Joshua, Derian, Sonya and Karmen; brother Paul (Malta); very close friend Casey and many extended family members and friends.
Vince moved to Powell River as a young man of 20 from Malta in 1957 to join his brothers and worked in the Powell River mill for over 40 years. He was proud of his Maltese heritage and returned several times over the years to visit family and introduce his Canadian family to his culture. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending quality time with them.
He loved his home community of Powell River, his longtime neighbourhood, wandering the various local shops and his daily coffee with family and friends at the A&W.
A special thank you to all the caregivers in our Dad’s life over the past few years. A service is not planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Powell River Hospital Auxiliary.
