It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved mother, wife, nonna and friend. Luisa passed away at home in heavenly peace and divinity, surrounded by her most-loved ones.
Luisa was born in Rome, Italy, and moved to Powell River with her husband when she was 35 years old. She was born to be a mother and raised her family with enjoyment and pride. She created and took care of a loving home, inside and out, and was a very talented gardener. Her flowers were especially wonderful.
Luisa was very devout and faithful in her prayer life and her kind and generous spirit has touched many lives.
Luisa is survived by her husband of 45 years, Nicola, her children Joseph (Heidi) and Diana (Mike), and her three grandchildren Gabriel, Lynden and Grace.
Mom, you were the sweetest person with the biggest heart and the most beautiful smile. We will honour you and your legacy forever.
The family would like to to thank the local palliative team and care aids for their wonderful support and assistance throughout Luisa’s short but courageous battle with cancer. We would also like to thank the members of our community and Luisa’s brothers and sisters from the Assumption Parish who supported the family during this difficult period in time.
Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, January 7, 1 pm at the Catholic Church of the Assumption.
