Tony passed away peacefully at home, the place he loved best.
He was a quiet, hardworking man who loved his family. His favourite pastimes were splitting wood, cheering for the Habs and spending time at his cabin on Powell Lake with the Can-Do crew.
Tony’s quick wit and sense of humour were legendary amongst his family and friends, and will live on through them. Tony was so happy to captain his boat, the Can-Do, on one final cruise this summer. The time has come for…a Tony tune, smooth sailing, and a log on the fire that never burns out.
Tony is survived by his wife of 55 years Lorraine; his children Lawrence (Sarah), Lloyd, Roy (Johanna) and Jill ( Mikey); his grandchildren Audrey, Evan and Zela; and his siblings Kay, Danny and Yvonne.
Special thanks to family and friends, the palliative care team, Home Support staff, Dr. Schweitzer and Dr. Zorn.
A celebration of life will be held at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 164, 6811 Alexander Street, Powell River, at 1 pm on Saturday, September 10.
