Art passed away peacefully at St. Paul’s Hospital and is survived by his sons Robert, James (Jayal) and Aaron, and his siblings Antida Statham, Albert Tanti and Brian Tanti. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Olga Tanti and brother Godfrey.
Art was born in Malta and came to Canada in 1952, growing up in Powell River, where he met and married Beverly Pole and raised their family together. He worked for the City of Powell River for several years before a long career as an oiler at the paper mill.
Art loved his cabin up the lake, where he made cherished memories with family and friends and fishing. A special thank-you to Sandy and the staff at the Powell River Community Dialysis Unit, and to his loyal friends during his illness.
