Jake Corbett submitted today’s featured photo, which he took while taking a break during a walk around Inland Lake. “This little guy came out of nowhere,” said Jake, “to enjoy a few seeds that fell from my bun-wich.

In 1906, Canadian Tommy Burns and Jack “Philadelphia” O’Brien fought to a 20-round draw in a boxing match in California. Burns remained world heavyweight champion.

In 1975, hockey legend Bobby Orr played his last game for the Boston Bruins.

In 1982, Edmonton Eskimos won their fifth consecutive Grey Cup Canadian Football League championship by defeating Toronto Argonauts 32-16.
