In 2005, more than 1,800 people died when Hurricane Katrina hit Louisiana with floods that devastated the city of New Orleans.
In 2010, American Michelle Wie won the Canadian Open women’s golf tournament by three strokes. The top Canadian, Lori Kane, finished tied for 11th, seven strokes behind Wie.
